pro bono services

We’re passionate about helping community members learn about and take action on the issue they care about.  Each quarter we select projects that will advance a difficult conversation or expand civic engagement within a school, service group or community. Pro bono projects include:

100 Youth Voices—Explorations Academy faculty and students convened a youth-led dialogue for teens to learn about and discuss a coal port facility proposal currently under review in Whatcom County, WA. Consulted with faculty and staff on nonpartisan forum design and day-of facilitation support. Bellingham, WA 2011.

Seeds of Compassion—A community dialogue among 235 individuals regarding practical ways to cultivate compassion in our homes, schools, workplaces, and civic organizations. Served as a theme analyst of live-streaming input, preparation of real-time polling questions and presentation of emerging ideas, priorities, and commitments. Seattle, WA 2010.

Listening to the City – World Trade Center Memorial and Redevelopment Citizen Forum engaging 4300 community members in providing feedback and recommendations for the site’s redevelopment and memorial design. Served as small group facilitator for the 4300-person event and theme analyst of live-streaming input, preparation of real-time polling questions and presentation of emerging ideas and priorities for a 200 person follow up event.
